Moreton Island 2 day 4WD glamping adventure tour

Your Moreton Island Tour is two awesome days of discovering all of Moreton Island's hidden wonders, beauty and activities.
After arriving on the first morning on the island we drop our gear off at our bush safari camp.
Your guide will take you touring the island in our 4WD, seeing both
amazing forests and pristine beaches. Each trips itinerary is different
depending on local conditions and tides

You will see, Cape Moreton Lighthouse (a great spot for wildlife viewing), Blue Lagoon (fresh water lake infused with tea tree oils), 40km of uninterrupted surf beach, The Desert and Big Sand Hills for sand tobogganing and great views, Five Hills look out (panoramic views back to Australia and the Glass House Mountains .

During these two days your guide will take you on short bush walks,
explaining the island flora and fauna, we will also take you on a guided
snorkel around fifteen amazing ship wrecks which are teeming with fish
life, and of course, sand tobogganing and boarding, just like the ALPS,
with board shorts and NO Ski Lift!

Your glamping camp is in a wilderness setting, located only 50 metres from Bulwer Beach and the Bulwer Shipwrecks .

Each tent has camping mattress, pillow & linen provided. We have private toilets and hot shower facilities at camp.


See one of the best Sunsets over Moreton Bay with the Glass House
Mountains as a back drop. Amazing star gazing and campfire of an
evening.

Lots of time for swimming, sunbaking, walks on deserted beaches and access to kayaks, fishing gear and beach games.

Our fun guides will give you full instruction and equipment for each activity.

Fraser Island Exclusive 4WD day tour

Depart Brisbane pass the Glass House Mountains and famous Steve Irwin Way for the Noosa River Ferry, Sunshine Coast (times permitting) and the Cooloola Beach Highway. Enjoy this 4WD along the surf beach and coloured hills of Double Island Point before arriving at Rainbow Beach .

A short break before 4WDing along the Inskip Point
track to the sandy beaches where we board the ferry to Fraser Island.
All tickets and National park fees have been arranged prior to your
arrival. As we cruise across the bay, photo Fraser Island's west coast
and Hervey Bay , and keep a look out for dolphins, turtles, dugong, sharks, eagles, sea birds and fish.

Arrive Fraser Island World Heritage National Park . Your local guide will give information and stories, both old and new, as you 4WD Fraser Island's 75 Mile Surf Beach
with an eye out for dingoes, kangaroos and whales (in season). This
journey will cover the southern tip of Fraser Island including Hook Point and cross as many as 8 Freshwater Creeks by 4WD.

Explore the world's largest rain forest growing in sand, Satinay and Kauri forests and Eco Boardwalk along famous Wanggoolba Creek at Central Station Rainforest .

Travel pass Pile Valley and Satinay Forest , and onto Lake McKenzie - Photo, swim or relax at Lake McKenzie's clear white sandy beaches.

Enjoy picnic lunch at the Lake or rain forest, cold drinks, fresh fruits.

Return via Eurong Beach Resort , 75 mile surf beach highway, Govi Creek and Dilli Village environmental Eco-Camp.

Photograph Double Island and coloured sands before boarding the ferry.

Break at Rainbow Beach or Noosa before the journey back to Brisbane .

Discover the hidden secrets of Moreton Island National Park. Enjoy the sparkling beach wilderness and experience the serenity and
beauty of Blue Lagoon, Ben Ewa Bay, Tangalooma Shipwrecks and Historic
Cape Moreton Region.
Day 1

Depart Brisbane for a unique beach wilderness experience on Moreton Island.
Sea ferry cruise Moreton Bay Marine Park and arrive Moreton Island’s white sandy beaches.

Travel by 4WD to remote surf beach. Take a short forest walk to
fresh waters of Blue Lagoon (a magical window lake) - relax, swim, photo
and snorkel.
Outdoor fresh picnic lunch with cold drinks overlooking the surf
beach.
Travel on to Cape Moreton Lighthouse for great land based whale
watching, dolphin, turtle and sometimes shark and Manta Ray. Explore
Honeymoon Bay and Champagne Pools.
After a healthy evening meal, enjoy stories around the camp fire -
stargaze at lake or stroll along Bulwer Beach. Day 2

Start with a continental breakfast before traveling the
beach to the natural wonder, The Desert for sand boarding action. After
the adrenaline rush, make your way to the famous Tangalooma Shipwrecks.
Snorkel among tropical fish and kayak looking for a dugong, dolphin
and turtle before a fresh picnic lunch.
Free afternoon with time to relax on Tangalooma beach overlooking
marine park.
Beach drive or hike to Cowan Point Lookout or onto the Bulwer
Shipwrecks.
Day 3

With a packed picnic lunch, beach drive to Mount Tempest – the highest sand hill in the world.
Oh what a feeling! Take in the views and continue south along the beach to the biggest of Moreton’s sandhills.
4WD to the southern wetland eel grass fields, (dugong and turtle) and protected bird rookeries, migratory waders can be seen.
Aboriginal midden sites and ancient campfire areas explained by your eco guide.
A day to relax island style with a full day touring the southern wetlands.


All meals on island freshly prepared: Day 1 - Lunch, BBQ Dinner, fresh
salads, garlic breads and cold drinks. After dinner, hot drinks and
marshmallows around camp fire Day 2 - Breakfast - tea coffee, cereals and toast, jam, honey,

Day 1


Eli Creek


We head out of the Brisbane driving north through the Sunshine Coast,
Glasshouse Mountains and Noosa.
We travel via 4WD (tides permitting) on Noosa North Shore and Double
Island Point. The coloured sands of Rainbow Beach on our right and
Fraser Island on our left.
With your local guide and driver stop for an early Lunch at Rainbow
Beach. Take time to relax, visit the local beach, take a swim
overlooking coloured sands or wander through local shops.

We then 4WD along tracks to Inskip Point beach and Fraser Island
lookout, before boarding your ferry cruise to Fraser Island.
All ferry tickets and national park fees are pre arranged to save time.
As we cruise across the Straight, photo Tin Can Bay, Fraser Island's
west coast and Hervey Bay, and keep a look out for dolphins, turtles,
dugong, sharks, eagles, sea birds and fish.
Arrive Fraser Island world heritage National Park.
Your local guide will give information and stories both old and new as
you 4WD Fraser Island's 75 Mile Surf Beach with an eye out for dingoes,
kangaroos and whales (in season).

4WD along the 75 Mile Beach highway pass as many as 8 Freshwater
creeks, Hook Point before arriving magnificent Lake Wabby walking track.
This emerald green lake is surrounded by a massive sandblow and native
Eucalypt forest.
This is the deepest lake on the island. Spot turtles, take photo's of
the famous sand dune, build sand castles or just work on your tan.
Return through melaleuca and cycad forest to permanently erected camp
site at Dilli beach.
Enjoy a hot shower or swim in the beautiful fresh waters of Govi Creek
before dinner and drinks around the camp fire. Keep an eye out for those
dingoes! Day 2

The morning is yours to enjoy an early sunrise over the ocean, a
great time to dingo search or bird watch.
On return, enjoy a continental breakfast from the camp kitchen with log
tables, seating & gas facilities. With your guide take the 75 Mile
Beach highway to the beautiful Eli Creek.
Enjoy floating down the fastest flowing creek on the island. Marvel at
the coloured sand formations of The Pinnacles.
Photo the famous Maheno Shipwreck and learn about how it came to rest
on Fraser Island. Continue heading north along 75 Mile Beach for a swim
in the Champagne Pools.
Climb Indian Head, one of the few rocky outcrops on the island to see
magnificent views, spot sharks, mantras, turtles and whales.
Return to camp for sunset, explore the walks close to the camp area or
simply relax at camp before your guides prepare dinner.
After dinner, relax around the camp fire and enjoy the isolation of 75
Mile Surf Beach, the perfect place for star gazing. Day 3

After breakfast this morning, the first stop is Lake McKenzie.
Sunbake, explore or chill and relax on the lakes perfect white sands and
swim in the pristine fresh water.
After drying off we make our way to the cool of the rainforest.
Here you will take a boardwalk along the crystal clear waters of
Wanggoolba Creek, spot fresh water eels, see magnificent rare giant King
Fern and experience the unique world heritage satinay forest.
Then take a hike through tropical rainforest at Central Station along
the banks of Wanggoolba Creek to Pile Valley.
Early afternoon, we start our journey south departing Fraser Island
down to Cooloola National Park or via the Bruce Highway.
