Dysart house, Kempton, has been home to Old Kempton Distillery since November 2015. On site we make a variety of spirits including; single malt whisky, gin, liqueurs and special releases. All made using 100% Tasmanian ingredients.
Your fully guided tour starts with a short history on Dysart House and outline of the distillation process. You will then get the opportunity to go behind the scenes, allowing you a visit to our distillery and bond store. Our bond store is full of maturing Whisky and barrels of all different shapes and sizes. Ghost stories are all a part of the history of the house so keep your eyes peeled. Each tour is unique and an amazing opportunity to see how a distillery runs on a day to day basis.

Following your tour you can take a seat in our stunning Cask Lounge, located in the grand coaching inn that is the Old Kempton cellar door. The Cask Lounge is home to our cask wall and botanic library. Your tour will finish with a guided tasting of a variety four Old Kempton Distillery products.
Lunch is available daily, and highly recommended. Lunch options include; local Tasmanian produce antipasto platters, Devonshire tea and daily specials. Cocktails, coffee and other tastings are all available through our café which is open 10am - 4pm daily.

Your fully guided tour starts with an 8 minute introductory film in our theatre room, which includes a short history on Dysart House and outline of the distillation process. You will then get the opportunity to go behind the scenes, allowing you access to our distillery and bond store. Our bond store is full of maturing Whisky and barrels of all different shapes and sizes. Ghost stories are all a part of the history of the house so keep your eyes peeled. Each tour is unique and an amazing opportunity to see how a distillery runs on a day to day basis. Your day then continues with our premium antipasto platter, full of Tasmanian produce. To perfectly compliment your lunch choice you can then choose from our range of Tasmanian wine for a bottle to share.


Following your tour & lunch you can take a seat in our stunning tasting rooms, located in the grand coaching inn that is the Old Kempton cellar door. The tasting rooms are also home of "The Godfather Collection" a sample of rare whiskies from Bill Lark's personal collection. Your tour will finish with a guided tasting of a variety four Old Kempton Distillery products.
