Brian Creek Walk

Departing from the Wildman Wilderness Lodge reception area, you will be taken by bus to the Brian Creek Walking path. It is a short 7-minute drive from the lodge.
On foot, your tour guide will take you into this monsoon oasis where you are likely to see native insects, reptiles, birds and marsupials. You will learn about native plants and animals while you pass through some of the oldest bush lands in Australia.
The walk is quite easy with a good walking track. There is a picnic area where you can stop for a drink and a quick snack. The walking time is approximately 1 hour.
On your return, your guide will drive you to Mistake Billabong, a short 5 minutes away. This is a fantastic photo opportunity, where from the viewing deck you may see birds, buffalo or even a wild dingo. From here you are head back to the lodge.
Wear good walking shoes or hiking boots. Take a hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellant. We recommend long sleeve shirts and long pants.
Available to both in-house and external guests. Round trip is approximately 1.5hrs.

Leichhardt Point Sundowners

Depart from Wildman Wilderness Lodge 1 hour before sunset and journey through stringy bark forests and savannahs to Leichhardt Point where you stop for refreshments while watching the amazing sunset over the wetlands.
Leichhardt Point provides an amazing eco-system teeming with bird life where the wetlands rise and recede with the seasons. Depending on the time of the year, the water table may be high or dry. A vast seasonal variety of flora and fauna results, including buffalo, brolga, jabiru, dingoes, whistling ducks and of course the string bark and water lilies.
Enjoy a cold beverage and cheese platter as you watch the sun finish its day and enjoy good company. You will return to the lodge just before 7pm.
This is an easy tour and suitable for all as there is no walking or climbing involved. Guests are transported to and from Leichhardt point.
This tour is available to both in-house guests and visitors.
