1/2 Day Wine Tasting & Coast (Afternoon Tour)

Our small group tours depart Adelaide 7 days a week from Adelaide CBD. Departing from Victoria Square at 12.30pm sit back, relax and enjoy the short drive out of the city and the incredibly scenic drive through the beautiful Adelaide Hills on route to the iconic wine tasting region of McLaren Vale. Once in McLaren Vale our first stop is the stunning Haselgrove Wines. Let your host at Haselgrove take you through a wonderful structured tasting.and if you're peckish, you can purchase a cheeseboard to enjoy with your wine. (own cost) just speak to your guide to pre order one of these.

It’s only a short drive now to the beautiful and historic Chapel Hill Winery. Have your taste buds primed and your camera poised as your host at Chapel Hill tantalises you with a wonderful structured wine tasting experience.in their picturesque cellar door. It's now time to climb back on the bus as we head back towards Adelaide. But we're taking the scenic route so you can gaze out at the Adelaide Coastline, as we journey towards our final featured destination of the day - Adelaide's beautiful seaside suburb of Glenelg.
There are two options for you here.
Option 1, take a 15 min stroll to get an idea of what Glenelg has to offer, before hopping back on the bus to Adelaide, or
Option 2, leave the tour in Glenelg and spend a few leisurely hours enjoying the abundance of shops, restaurants and of course the beach, pick a spot for dinner and get ready to watch one of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere in the World.


Trams run from Glenelg to Adelaide every 20 minutes.

Adelaide Highlights with Wine Tasting & Coast (Full Day)

‘Adelaide Highlights with Wine Tasting and Coast’ is a full day tour featuring some of Adelaide's finest
experiences. With several pick-up points around Adelaide CBD this small group
day tour offers a wonderful balance of sightseeing and wine tasting and certainly
packs a punch as far as must do highlights when visiting Adelaide.

Tour itinerary:
With pick-up at a leisurely 8.50am-9.00am at selected points in
Adelaide CBD we start the day with a City Highlights tour. While you get your
bearings we'll show you some of the City of Adelaide's best, offering you an
insight into her history and letting you in on some insider secrets, the must
do's, the places to visit and the best eateries to enjoy Adelaide's finest
food..

As we head out of the city we'll drive by/visit the iconic Adelaide
Oval (events permitting) and head out through the picturesque North Adelaide
suburb where we can enjoy the stunning federation architecture and lavish home
abodes. Our next stop will offer us a spectacular view of the City of Adelaide
from the vantage point of Mount Lofty.

From Mount Lofty lookout our next stop is Hahndorf!!, The German
village of Hahndorf is an absolute delight, with it's abundance of boutique
shops and eateries there's plenty to explore as you wile away over an hour and
a half of free time to do whatever you please.

We'll meet you back at bus stop 54 on the main street of Hahndorf
where you'll climb back on board, sit back, relax and enjoy the short and
incredibly scenic drive through the beautiful Adelaide Hills on route to the
iconic wine tasting region of McLaren Vale. Once in McLaren Vale our first stop
is the stunning Chapel Hill Winery. Have your taste buds primed and your camera
poised as your host at Chapel Hill tantalises you with a wonderful structured
wine tasting experience.in their picturesque cellar door.

From Chapel Hill it's on to the Main Street of McLaren Vale - Here
you'll have some free time, what you do with it is up to you. Enjoy a taste or
two of wine in Hardy Tintara's Cellar door. Or maybe enjoy a cleansing beer or
grab a coffee and watch the World go by. Or why not use your time gathering
some souvenirs of the sweet variety? Visit the fabulous Almond Train; an old
converted train carriage offering every variety of Almond imaginable, or pop in
the Iconic Aussie Fruchocs chocolate factory and pick-out a selection of sweet
gifts.

It's time now to climb back on board as we take the short drive to
our next winery the quaint Shingleback Winery. This tasting is super
relaxed, enjoy a structured tasting of Shinglebacks finest wines, and if you're
peckish, you can purchase a cheeseboard to enjoy with your wine.

It's now time to climb back on the bus as we head back towards
Adelaide. But we're taking the scenic route so you can gaze out at the Adelaide

perfect start to the day. Need a coffee or a quick snack? No worries, grab a
toasted sanga and fuel up for what's next.





Then, prepare to have your mind blown at the *Whispering
Wall*, one of the coolest acoustic wonders in the world! Shout your secrets
across this jaw-dropping landmark and be amazed as they come back to you from
the other side.





Now, it’s time to roll into the heart of the *Barossa
Valley*! Our first wine stop is the beautiful Kies Family Winery, where you’ll
sip on award-winning wines, surrounded by vine-covered hills. But the fun
doesn’t stop there – next up is Lambert Estate, where you'll be treated to a
personalized tasting of their finest wines.





When lunchtime rolls around, we’re serving up gourmet pizzas
with all the toppings your heart desires! Share some laughs with your fellow
Groovy travelers as you dig in and swap stories over a delicious meal.





After lunch, we’ll take in some of the most spectacular
views at *Menglers Hill Lookout*. Snap that perfect shot of the stunning
Barossa landscape before we roll into Tanunda for the ultimate local
experience.





In Tanunda, you’ve got 45 minutes to live like a local – the
choice is yours! Sample more incredible wines at Z Wines, where sisters Janelle
and Kristen carry on their family’s five-generation wine legacy. Prefer a brew?
Head to the Rhen Bier Brewhouse and taste their locally crafted beers. Or, just
wander through Tanunda’s charming streets, popping into shops, grabbing an ice
cream, or sipping a coffee while you soak in the village vibes.





As the day winds down, kick back on the ride back to
Adelaide – chat with your new mates, relive the highlights, or take a
well-deserved nap. It’s been a Groovy Grape adventure to remember!
