We run guided shore dives at our easy-access dive sites in either Alma or Geoffrey Bay. Included in the price is all gear rental and the luxury of having a professional lead the dive.
Meet your dive guide at the dive shop, where your equipment will be prepared for you and you'll be given a detailed dive briefing. Your gear will be transported to the dive site, just a 6 minute walk from the shop.
Both our local dive sites are relatively shallow and are great for all experience levels and interests. Your dive guide can tailor the dive to your needs. Visit the Moltke Shipwreck in Geoffrey Bay for some old island history. Wreck sites are so great for attracting marine life and we see turtles, sharks and rays on the Moltke wreck. Explore Alma Bay for its nudibranchs and the opportunity to grab some great macro photos.
Option of doing an add-on shore dive for an additional $80 and have fun doing two dives in a day!

Refresher Course
It's easy for dive skills to become a bit rusty if you have not dived in a while. To avoid loosing confidence as a diver, an SSI Scuba Skills Update (refresher session) provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. These aren't new skills, they are the same ones that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program. It's an opportunity to practice and review them with an instructor.
This is a great course to take just before a dive holiday, so you spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life. It's highly recommended for anyone looking to dive the Yongala, and also great for those simply wanting to get back into the wonderful world of diving after an absence from the sport. The Scuba Skills Update may also be required for continuing your diving training, if you haven't dived for a while.
