One on one tuition with a leading Sydney photographer


These private photography lessons are run on various weekdays and evenings throughout the year. We occasionally do Saturday's subject to availability and a $50 surcharge.


All of our Tutors are available for private photography lessons specifically tailored to your own personal requirements.
Whether you’re looking for private photography lessons on our premises or out on location nearby, we deliver refined training in the art and technical skill of photography in a professional, yet fun and exciting way. We are happy to come to you for an additional nominal travel fee dependant on location.
Following your pre-tuition consultation, we will tailor the lesson to cover the topics and skills you would like to develop under the guidance of your professional mentor.
Perhaps you are shooting with a smart phone or compact camera or are moving from a compact camera or smartphone to an SLR or Mirrorless and would like to control the cameras creative ability in manual mode. Maybe you need some creative inspiration and experience in compositional techniques or understanding of light.
Whatever you choose to have your lesson cover, you will be assured to come away a better photographer. Private photography tuition sessions are ideal for those who are rushed for time and cannot commit to a lengthy workshop or photography course. Your tuition is guaranteed to fast track your learning.


FEES:
$300 per person for a single booking (1 person) in a 2 hour session

$400 per couple for a double booking (2 people) in a 2 hour session

Adobe Lightroom Course - 4 weeks

Enrol in Sydney's most thorough Adobe Lightroom course designed by pro photographers!



This photography course is run on various week nights for 4 weeks from 6:30pm to 9:30pm


We take you on a comprehensive journey through Adobe Lightroom, from capture to output, whilst exploring the practical and creative functionality of the industry standard photo editing software. If you want to make the most of your shots and manipulate them into something amazing, this Adobe Lightroom course covers all the bases.


Our Lightroom Series are bigger than just simply editing your images. Through a series of practical 'hands on' exercises, assignments, presentations and informal discussions, we cover a broad range of topics to streamline your process and make your editing workflow easier. We will provide the fundamental skills to any photographer to get the most out of their digital images.

Cut your editing time in half whilst producing pro quality images from your captures!

You will learn how to download and import your images into the Adobe Lightroom software then organise and manage a number of photo collections. This will make searching individual images from several thousand easy and quick through keyword allocation.
We move on to show you how to prepare and export your images for either online or printed presentation as you are guided through a professionally developed workflow. Utilising a range of image file formats we will introduce you to the world of the digital negative (these will be supplied) . We will then explore the editing and creative capabilities of Lightroom, organising, working on and exporting your now magnificent images. We will also examine the various methods to output your images.
You will be given weekly assignments culminating in a hands on printing session of your favourite image in class to take home. At the conclusion of this workshop you’ll understand enough about Camera RAW and Adobe Lightroom to take your images to the next level.

Digital Photography Course - 8 week - Alexandria

This beginners photography course is run as : 2 hour session per week for 8 weeks PLUS a bonus 3 hour Field Trip

Finally take control of your digital camera and learn all about shutter speed, aperture, light metering and all of the technical stuff but to be creative as well.
If you are beginner with a Digital SLR or Mirrorless camera with manual capabilities and you want to take high quality digital images for a hobby, work, or to kick start a career in photography, then this is the photography course for you.
We explain the intricacies of the digital world in plain english, leaving you confident with your newly acquired technical and artistic skills. You will leave your digital photography course competent to shoot anything from portraits, products, landscapes, travel, or whichever genre you choose.
This course is an all encompassing one which covers every aspect of photography over a full 19 hours of tuition with one of our professional photographers.
Previous experience is not necessary for this course!
Understanding your digital camera and unravelling your creative ability all at once, you will learn all the fundamentals of this exciting medium.
* On the 6th week of your workshop there is a BONUS 3 hour field trip around Sydney's Harbour Foreshore late on the Sunday afternoon. PLEASE ADD THIS TO YOUR DIARY UPON BOOKING.
This trip covers daylight, dusk, sunset and night digital photography where you practice all you have learnt with the support of your Tutor. All of this in addition to the studio demonstrations and practicals, allowing you to learn as you shoot. More information about this trip will follow during class.

On the final week of this digital photography course we examine the best of your imagery in a stunning digital slide show accompanied by music, pizza and soft drinks where we unwind and say farewell. But that's not all - we celebrate your progress by showcasing the best 30 images from your intake in our top 30 photos which will be showcased in our online exhibition.
This course is for participants with any digital camera that has capability of shooting in manual mode. This is a 'hands-on' practical and fun digital photography course whether you are new to photography or making the transition from a 'point and shoot' compact camera.

Note: A tripod and lens hood are strongly recommended. If you do not already have these you should consider purchasing them at your earliest convenience as they are an essential part of any good photography kit.


*A final weather check will be conducted with the Bureau of Meteorology on the afternoon of your Field Trip. This may lead to the Trip being postponed in cases of unfavourable weather reports. The Trip may run in cases of light showers but not in persistent showers or heavy rain. Should we need to postpone you will be notified via text message to the mobile number supplied to us.

Premium Speedlite Flash Photography

The humble Speedlite is humble no longer! Learn how to control light and create stunning images you never thought possible. This workshop is designed to take you from zero Speedlite knowledge to confidently handling and being creative with your single Speedlite or multlple units off camera.
Spend an inspirational, educational and creative day with internationally awarded AIPP Master Photographer, Daniel Linnet, as he introduces you to the exciting world of Speedlite lighting.
This Sydney based Photography Workshop will teach you all the basics to get you started and is filled with practical real-world techniques that will have you shooting like a pro in no time. Daniel is a highly sought after photographic Tutor on this topic and has recently presented a series of workshops on Speedlites for Canon Australia. This workshop however, is 'hands on' with ONLY 8 PARTICIPANTS on the day and we provide you each with plenty of practical shooting time to hone your newfound skills.

Premium Travel Photography Workshop

This photography workshop is run on various Saturdays throughout the year.



RUN DURING DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME : 11pm to 8:30pm
& FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR : 9pm to 6:30pm




A must for the traveller, this travel photography course is designed to inspire you and deliver the skills you will need to develop a beautiful and stunning reportage of your travels or photo-documentary journal.
Whether you choose to focus on the iconic, architecture, people or landscapes is entirely up to you.
The travel photography course begins at our studio with a presentation of outstanding imagery & instructional tutorial to ensure you are well equipped and prepared to begin your journey before we head off to various exciting locations around Sydney. You are encouraged to shoot the entire day away under the close supervision, guidance and instruction of your prime tutor, Benjamin Lee.
Ben has held several impressive exhibitions of his well-documented travels through the Australian outback featuring landscapes and people. He has traveled extensively through the UK, Ireland, Turkey, Thailand, India, Nepal and Africa. You will also have our Head Tutor, Daniel Linnet, M.Photog., AIPP. supporting Ben on the day. That’s 2 photographers to a maximum of 10 participants!
Daniel has done his own travels building a collection of stunning imagery from within South East Asia, Egypt, Greece, India and extensively throughout the Australian outback. In addition to Ben and Daniel, you will also have a hostess attending to cater to your needs on this exceptional day out.
Our locations are carefully curated by Ben and Daniel to ensure a rich diversity of landscape and people in a precious selection of locations. We are sure that you will find them both intriguing, interesting and a delight to photograph whilst you are being supported and trained in all aspects of professional Travel Photography.

Premium Portrait Photography

Premium and Intensive Portrait Photography Workshop taught by an internationally acclaimed AIPP Master Photographer.

Whether you want to shoot fashion models, loved ones or even corporate portraits, you will learn to use natural portrait lighting effects and in addition gain many handy posing, compositional and focusing tips.


We construct a series of 'pro-shoots' in various stimulating and exciting locations around Sydney. This fashion and portrait photography course runs for the entire day under the close supervision, guidance and instruction of your tutor, multi award winning, Master Photographer and a NSW AIPP Portrait Photographer of the Year, Daniel Linnet. Backed by a knowledgeable photographic assistant, Daniel shoots tethered to a lap-top for easy viewing and reference as he demonstrates.


This Workshop covers fashion and portraits, including models and loads more.



We begin by fuelling your inspiration with a presentation of outstanding portrait imagery and provision of a brief for the day to get your creative juices flowing.
