DESCRIPTION


Experience the thrill of free fall from up to 14000ft filmed by your Tandem Master's hand mounted camera followed by approximately 5 minutes under parachute enjoying the panoramic views of The Hunter Valley.
Tandem skydiving – What happens on the day
After briefing and getting geared up on the ground, you get to enjoy a spectacular view on the ride to height in the plane.
Once harnessed securely to your experienced Tandem Master you will dive out of the door of the aircraft. After a few long and exhilarating seconds of freefall you will find yourself suspended under a large tandem parachute. You will gently descend back to the dropzone and look out at a spectacular view of the Hunter Valley. Under the guidance of your Tandem Master you may even get the opportunity to steer the parachute for a while. You will land back at the dropzone and your friends and family can share in your exhilaration.

For a lasting memento, we can also video your skydive and capture your exhilaration and excitement in freefall. After we’ve filmed your landing, we’ll edit a permanent record of your skydive to share with family and friends.
The minimum age for tandem skydiving is 12 years and parental consent is required for skydivers under the age of 18 years.
All of our parachute rigs are equipped with state of the art backup Safety Opening Devices.
Maximum weight restrictions apply. A surcharge is payable on the day for 95kg+
Safety in the sport is paramount and aircraft and equipment are maintained to the rigid safety standards regulated by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the Australian Parachute Federation.

The training consists of classroom theory, practical exercises, drills and an exam/assessment at the end of the day to ensure you are ready for your first jump. On Sunday morning there will be a short refresher session then you will go on your first skydive accompanied by two instructors!


REGISTRATION

All civilian parachute descents in Australia are governed by the Australian Parachute Federation (APF). All parachutists, including students, must purchase an APF membership using the link below before making a descent.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
· Arrival time for this course is 7.45am – please be on time so the course can get underway
· Go to the Manifest Office in the Hangar on arrival
· Bring your own lunch/snacks and a drink bottle – while we will have a short break for lunch there are no shops close by and you may not have time to go into Branxton.
· Much of the training is OUTSIDE, so please bring suitable sun protection or wet weather gear.
· Planned jump day is Sunday but come prepared to jump on Saturday just in case the opportunity arises.
· Wear comfortable lace-up shoes/runners (not boots) and comfortable pants/shorts. A sweater or pullover is recommended in colder weather.
· If staying overnight, there is limited bunkhouse accommodation (BYO sleeping bag), powered/unpowered campsites are available, and kitchen and shower facilities. BYO tent or van.
· Cancellations within 48 hours of start time or no-shows forfeit a $60 per person deposit. Once the course has commenced no refund is possible.
