Heritage In The Bickley Valley Guided Hike | 7 km | 2 Hrs

Escape to the Bickley Valley, to enjoy the best of the Mason & Bird Heritage Trail and the New Victoria Dam Walk Trail on this 7 km combination hike, exploring Australia’s pioneer heritage through the Korung National Park. From Australia’s oldest wooden bridge, the Munday Brook Bridge, to the first Western Australian dam, the rich history of this trail will inspire you.
The Mason and Bird Heritage Trail follows the route of an 1870’s tramway from Mason Mill to the swan River, which operated in the late 1800’s to transport jarrah timber from Mason’s Mills to the Canning River. Enjoy the abundance of valley views, expansive forrests of Wandoo and beautiful granite outcrops as we adventure in the Bickley Valley.

Hidden Secrets Of Araluen Guided Hike | 4km | 2 Hrs

ARALUEN BOTANIC PARK |


4.5 KM HIKE | EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE

This magnificent trail is a great opportunity to hike one of the most beautiful gardens in Perth. An exclusive look behind the fence in the natural bushlands at Araluen Botanic Garden, with trails leading to the dam and back through the manicured gardens.


INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET:
Your ticket includes a start to finish guided hike with our trained hike leaders including history and heritage of Araluen. See the seasonal manicured gardens, through to the rugged natural bushland. The Hike Collective can provide you with an exclusive look at Araluen, as the only hiking tour operator with access to their entire park. Hike leaders carry communication devices and first aid kits for your safety. Feel comfortable knowing that we will guide you through your hiking experience and you can relax and enjoy. Your ticket also covers licences and registration fees to hold group hike events in National and regional Parks in WA. Entry fees to Araluen are also included in your ticket.


MEETING POINT AND GETTING THERE:
We will be meeting just inside the main gate of Araluen. Park your car, and look for the Hike Collective sign where you can collect your armband and get checked in for your hike. Please note, that this group have a special access opportunity, so normal gate entry fees do not apply. Please look for your hike leaders to organise the entry!


TRAIL DIFFICULTY:
Bush and garden Walk: Some fitness required on this moderate green trail, with some hills and gradient changes. A great opportunity to experience a short distance hike on multiple surfaces. larger child friendly, but not ideal for small children.



WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Bring plenty of water ( at least 2 litres per person)
Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail at times, good grip soles are advised.
If you have hiking sticks, please bring them ( although not essential!)
Personal First Aid kit
Snacks / morning tea to enjoy at the end

Public toilets are available in Araluen.


PETS:
As this is a botanical garden, no pets are allowed.


HIKING GRADE:
This hike is a grade 2, and no hiking experience is required. The trail has an uphill gradient for the first section and then evens out for a beautiful relatively flat experience. Towards the end as we reach the gardens, you have the opportunity to rest, or head up the hill to the rose gardens. See what the grades mean here.


CANCELLATION POLICY:
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 2-7 days prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received over 7 days in advance will receive a full refund or credit towards another hike experience. Please note that Rezdy fees are non refundable. Guests can transfer their booking to a friend with no penalty but must advise The Hike Collective so we can forward all booking information to the new attendee.
If The Hike Collective cancels an event due to weather or danger in any way, your ticket will automatically be moved to the new date, or you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another tour or receive a full refund.

Lesmurdie Falls At Sunset Guided Hike | 4.5 km | 2 Hrs

We invite you to experience the best nature-based views of Perth City as the sun says farewell for another day, on this charismatic 4km guided hike of Lesmurdie Falls and the winding trails. A short 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, and nestled in the heart of Kalamunda, this iconic gem showcases one of the more spectacular waterfalls in the Darling Range escarpment while carving space for you to enjoy a bite-sized chunk of adventure on the trails. With two fantastic view platforms at the top of the falls, and the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of the falls from below, there is an abundance of opportunities to absorb your natural surroundings, before meandering to the hidden lookout to sip a naked spritz and press pause as the sun sets over the ocean.

MEETING POINT AND GETTING THERE:
Located 25km from the Perth CBD, head EAST towards the Perth Hills. Use the destination Lesmurdie Falls Carpark in your googlemaps. Make your way to the Lesmurdie falls Car Park at the TOP of the falls , on Falls Road. Go to the bitumen carpark after passing the two gravel carparks. Parking here can be tight as it is a popular destination. If the carpark is full on arrival, please head to the gravel carpark, and find your way to the bitumen carpark by foot.


TRAIL DIFFICULTY:
This trail is moderate in difficulty due to the steep decline. Some fitness is recommended, but we also encourage you to hike at the pace that suits you.


WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Bring plenty of water ( We recommend 1 litre per person)
Comfortable clothes and sturdy trainers or hiking boots. With the uneven gravel trail at times, good grip soles are advised.
If you have hiking poles, this is a great opportunity to use them, with uneven surfaces.

There are no car entry fees to this regional Park.

This tour is a grade 3. It is still suitable for most ages and we recommend a moderate fitness level. It is recommended for people with some bushwalking or hiking experience. Trails may have short steep hills, rough surfaces, and sections of uneven ground
