ZZZ Get Kids Cooking Class Winter #2 DNU
Brilliantly these days learning about food and how to be confident in the kitchen is considered a pretty cool pastime. With so many cooking programmes on TV including Junior MasterChef younger members of our families are being exposed to a wider variety of ingredients. How do you ensure your children will make intelligent food choices and know how to feed themselves to maintain their wellbeing in the future?
Watching TV to learn about cooking is simply not enough. Unless you have a scratch-and-lick TV screen nothing can be tasted. Obviously! Part of the fun of cooking is the eating bit, as well as smelling the aroma of a baking cake, feeling the sauce thicken as it is stirred and comes to the boil or working dough to become smooth and elastic as it is kneaded. It’s kind of like magic.
This is more than just a cooking class for kids.
Teaching whilst ‘doing’ is the best way to learn. Understanding kitchen techniques involves science and maths to grasp the WHY of what happens to food when for example, heat or perhaps friction is applied. When the result is so yummy how can it not be fun. Classes are taught in an entertaining way that keeps everyones interest peaked.
Taste education is as important as knowing how to cook. Why do we like some foods and not others? In this safe environment flavours AND textures will be explored and discussed. Tracey has seen so much positive peer group pressure in past kids cooking classes as most participants join in with experiments so they don’t miss out on the fun and laughter!
Oh, and cleaning up is all part of the deal. Your children will learn the tips and tricks to keeping a clean, organised and safe kitchen.
Both Tracey and Bryonie are qualified chef’s, have working with children clearances and are themselves, mums. They both are passionate about teaching kids how to enjoy food and cooking, which of course is an essential part of living. We’d love to meet your children. If they are 10 to 16 years and you think they would be happy to come and cook with us we can teach them so much.

Lunch Club. These demonstration style classes will be held on the first Friday
of every month (apart from January). We’d love you to come along and relax,
while we cook you lunch.
Long table lunching in our new sparkly kitchen I’m sure will soon become a firm favourite of keen cooks, current and new.
We want to give our clients new ideas on a regular basis.

dishes for good home cooking to feed your family.
‘What’s for dinner?’ is an often heard question. It’s a
dream to be able to give you recipes that you’ll go back to time and time again
and never be lost for ideas.
I have a beautiful library of my own recipes (lots in my
head and some on paper) that I cook for my family. The Friday Lunch Club is
where I’ll share this treasure trove with you.
Each month we’ll use seasonal produce. Buying the best
that’s available in spring, summer, autumn and winter means your body will receive
the nourishment it needs - naturally.
Exact recipes will not be published, but each month the
class will be relevant and themed. This way you’ll get to try a broad variety
of produce when it’s available and we’ll search out some fruit and vegetables
that may only have a very short availability.
It’s going to be fun and educational. A complimentary glass
of bubbly on arrival will be offered as a welcome gesture. We look forward to
