One Way Bus - Hobart to Port Arthur

Travel on our daily bus service from Hobart to Port Arthur, ideal for walkers travelling on the Three Capes Track.
Itinerary

07:30am - Check in at Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Centre
07:45am - Bus departs
08:30am - Pick Up from Hobart Airport (by prior arrangement only)
09:45am - Arrival at the Port Arthur Historic Site


For Three Capes Walkers, this is plenty of time to have a snack or explore the Port Arthur Historic Site before your 11.30am or 2.00pm boat cruise.
Departure Point

The bus departs daily from the Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Booking Centre. This is situated on Hobart's waterfront on Franklin Wharf, next to the Constitution Dock Lifting Bridge. Please check in by 7.45am for an 8.00am bus departure.

Freycinet Aqua Express One-Way Hazards Beach to Coles Bay

Hazards Beach to Coles Bay

Enjoy a scenic 30-minute cruise along the striking granite coastline of Great Oyster Bay, while our local guides share fascinating stories about the area's history and wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for seals, seabirds, dolphins, and even migrating whales who might pop up to say hi!

From Wineglass Bay, it is a gentle 2-kilometre bushwalk along the Isthmus Track to Hazards Beach. This 30-minute walk takes you through classic Australian bushland, where you'll have a chance to spot native flora and fauna along the well-marked trail. Keep a lookout for friendly echidnas and wallabies.

Guests should ensure they are waiting at Hazards Beach 15 minutes prior to departure.

Arrives Coles Bay/Freycinet Lodge

A Parks Pass is required to access the Freycinet National Park. It is the guest's responsibility to organise their Parks Pass for their visit. These can be purchased via https://passes.parks.tas.gov.au
We provide the aqua taxi service only. Guests are fully responsible for their activities, safety and time spent within Freycinet National Park.
Ensure you are wearing suitable clothing and footwear for bushwalking in an environment where conditions can change.
Be sure to pack sunscreen, water, food and beach gear.
Guests are limited to one bag or backpack per person.
We will provide a full refund if we cancel the service due to weather. We reserve the right to cancel or vary any trip and will incur no liability for any such cancellation or alteration.
The boat gets you close to the beach, however, you may get wet feet as you step onto shore.
