Whale Swim

Humpback Whales are gentle and curious by nature, and will often approach us for a bit of people watching!
Given the opportunity, we are able to swim with these giant majestic animals and experience them in their ocean element. We endeavour to find relaxed and playful whales that are curious and give them an opportunity to swim with us. It is totally up to the whales wether they swim with us or not and ocean conditions also need to be suitable.
Whale swim encounters are limited to late august early September only as this is when the curious adolescences are migrating past on their southern migration.
Whale swims 2023 are open for bookings online every Friday at 2pm from the 11th of August until the 15th of September.
Previous ocean swimming experience is essential.

Mask, fins, and wetsuit are supplied, but if you have your own equipment we recommend you bring it.

Whale swim encounters will not take place within the boundary of the Cape Byron Marine Park.
