Lake Cave Fully Guided Tour

Lake Cave is a stunning pristine chamber deep beneath the earth. Inside the cave a tranquil lake reflects delicate formations that will take your breath away. This cave is the most 'actively dripping' cave in the southwest, and it's the only cave on the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge that has a permanent lake.

Visitors descend a staircase in time, with access being through a spectacular doline (sink hole), gazing up at the towering karri trees from the floor of the sunken forest before entering one of the most beautiful limestone caves in Western Australia.

There is an interpretative centre onsite, designed to help you learn about the formation and history of caves within the region, throughout Australia and around the world.

Fully guided tours only - 1 hr duration. Tours depart at 9.20, 10.00, 10.40, 11.20, 12.00, 12.40, 1.20, 2.00, 2.40, 3.20, 4.00

Mammoth Cave Self-Guided Audio Tour

Mammoth Cave is the most easily accessed of all the show caves in the region, with the first chamber being accessible by wheelchair. It is a self-guided cave, where you explore on your own while listening to an informative 'audio tour' through the MP3 player and headset provided. You are free to wander at your own pace along the boardwalks and platforms, through the majestic chambers of the cave.
A visit to Mammoth Cave finishes with a winding walk through the beautiful marri forest, with whistling birds and stunning flora displays. Mammoth Cave is much more than a cave - it is a complete nature experience.

The site of one of Australia's most important paleontological digs in the early 1900's, the cave still contains the fossil jawbone of a long-extinct giant marsupial species, embedded within the limestone wall - 50,000 years after the animal roamed the forests above.
Self-guided audio tours. Entry from 9.00am - 4.00pm. Extended opening during holiday times.
Children 4 yrs – 16 yrs. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
