What To Expect

Each day is different and uniquely full of wonder.

Your day begins with pick up from your Exmouth accommodation just before 9am. Please arrive early and come dressed in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing with enclosed footwear. Make sure you bring your bathers, towel and sandals or flip flops for a swim or snorkel later on.

We then take the scenic drive to visit Charles Knife Gorge. You'll be amazed by this rugged natural landscape as we ascend the road to the top, and learn about the history of the area. The views from the top are second-to-none as rugged canyons fall away from the road (local's describe this area as Exmouth's mini-Grand Canyon) and you enjoy views out over Exmouth Gulf.

After making our way back through Exmouth town, and up to Vlamingh Head Lighthouse to take in the panoramic views of reef and range. This is a great spot to enjoy morning tea and a cuppa as you take in the view. Enjoy watching some of the 40,000+ humpback whales that migrate past here from July to October.

We'll then start the journey into Cape Range National Park. Along the way your guide will provide commentary on the natural and human history of the area, and you may be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife: emu, dingo, wallaroos, bustards or birds of prey.

Once in the national park, stop at one of Ningaloo's iconic beaches for a refreshing swim or snorkel in our famously turquoise waters. There'll be time to get changed into your bathers before your guide kits you out with snorkel gear and you dive in to meet some of Ningaloo's abundant marine life.

After all this activity you will have worked up an appetite, so it's time to enjoy a fresh and healthy picnic lunch. Dietary requirements can be catered for, please advise us of any special requirements on booking.

Following lunch we continue the journey to Yardie Creek where you'll board Exmouth Adventure Co's vessel, Spirit of Yardi. Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the creek and wonder at the grandeur of the red rock gorges - a photographers dream. Delight in the abundant wildlife including osprey and their giant nests, and cute black-flanked rock wallabies sunning themselves amongst the craggy cliffs.

It's then time to make our way back into Exmouth town. Your guide will farewell you at your accommodation around 5pm with a promise to have some photos of your adventure available soon for you to enjoy.
