WWII Reflections Walk

19 February 1942. World War II reaches mainland Australia and the northern city of Darwin is bombed.
Move forward to today and join your knowledgeable guide who will take you back to that WWII era on a 2-hour walk through the historic quarter of the city. Hear your guide speak the stories of that fateful day as you meander past the historic buildings of the time, and which have been re-built to provide lasting memories of life in the north during the War. Enjoy the view over Darwin Harbour as your guide explains the importance of this area during WWII. Some of the infrastructure still exists today.

Enveloped within Parliament House is a Commemorative Wall honouring the Post Office and its staff who lost their lives in the first bombing raid and therefore no WWII tour of Darwin is complete without a visit. Your tour ends at Parliament House where you may enjoy the exhibits of the NT Library (weekdays only), and a coffee from Speakers Corner Cafe (weekdays only).
