Tasman Safaris - Port Arthur, Harbour Cruise and Lunch Tour

The Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania is renowned for its diverse landscapes and attractions. With its stunning coastal sea cliffs, sea caves, rich convict history, and delicious food produce, it is a must-visit destination.

At Day Tours Tasmania, we offer an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of this remarkable location. Your tour begins with a pick-up from Hobart at 7am. We will then make our way to Dunalley and the Denison Canal – a canal created to provide boats with a shorter passage to and from the East Coast waters of Tasmania. Crossing over the canal's swing bridge, heading to Eaglehawk Neck we will take a break to enjoy coffee while marvelling at some of the most breathtaking views in Tasmania. From there, you can feast your eyes on prominent landmarks such as Candlestick, Cape Hauy, Waterfall Bay, Hippolyte Rocks, and other magnificent ocean vistas. Alongside these scenic wonders, you'll learn about coastal geology and gain insights into the thriving fishing community as well as captivating stories from the past.
Continuing our journey across Dog Line into Doo Town, we will visit two remarkable geological formations – Tasman’s Arch and Blowhole (depending on swells). Following this exploration along the exquisite coastline comes a 2-hour stop at Port Arthur Historic Site, where you can immerse yourself in a self-guided audio tour and Port Arthur Harbour Cruise all included.
Bangor Vineyard is the lunch location on this tour; guests can choose a 1-course meal from their seasonal menu. Bangor’s restaurant is a perfect example of making the most of local produce with many of their food supplies coming from the Tasman Peninsula itself.
As for dessert lovers out there, our next stop brings us to Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry where you can witness skilled chocolate makers in action while sampling their delectable treats.
Next up: The Tasman Honey Farm! With exclusive group access granted inside their factory walls (owned by Ian and Sandra), you'll have the opportunity to learn in-depth about the Tasmanian honey industry and its production processes. Marvel at the glass beehives, enclosed within a special room, while observing the bees' diligent work.
Concluding this delightful journey is a visit to Dunalley Bay Distillery, located in a charming seaside shack. Here, you can revel in the taste of their exquisite gins alongside locally harvested oysters. The coastal ambience and panoramic views of Mt Wellington across the bay provide an idyllic setting for relaxation.
On our return journey to Hobart, we will take scenic coastal roads that offer mesmerising views of Norfolk Bay's shimmering blue waters as we make our way back home.
