Barossa Valley / Maggie Beer Farm Food & Wine Tour

Barossa Valley / Maggie Beer Farm Food & Wine Tour

It is time to explore one of the world’s best-known and highly regarded wine regions, the Barossa Valley. This well-known area is steeped in history and German heritage. Spend a relaxed day touring through the beautiful landscapes, sampling top-quality famous wines produced from the world-class region. The area is renowned for its rolling landscapes of vines, orchards, and pastures.
We enter the Barossa Valley at Williamstown and start your Barossa experience by marvelling at the acoustic wonder of the Whispering Wall .
Our journey will take us into the famous Penfolds Barossa Cellar Door, located in the heart of the Barossa. There will be time for tasting wine/s or enjoying other light refreshments in this delightful location.
On our way to Angaston, we visit the iconic Rusden Winery famous for its 'Black Guts' Shiraz, but to be fair, all their wines are good! We then continue to Angaston with a quick stop at Gully Gardens (time permitting) for dried fruits and confectionery or The Barossa Cheese Company (time permitting) and then on to a local eatery such as the Wanera Wine Bar or local bakery/cafe for a lunch stop.
After lunch, we make our way to the Mengler Hill lookout to view the 'Valley Floor' and vistas beyond before heading over to visit the famous and celebrated providore Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop
Our last stopover for the day is the Seppeltsfield Estate. Steeped in history, the beautiful buildings and grounds are definitely a must-see. The Estate is also home to many other venues, one of which is Vasse Virgin. This company produces a range of quality Skin Care products made from olive oil, and also offers other culinary and homeware items.
However, if art is your interest, then visit the Jam Factory, a State Art Gallery with beautiful works and pieces available for purchase. The gallery also holds exhibitions and showcases the works and art of resident Artists in their studios and provides an opportunity to understand the skills of these talented artisans.
At the conclusion of the tour, you will be returned to your accommodation.
