This tour starts from your hotel where we may visit some local highlights on route to the Central market. The Central Market has celebrated its 150th birthday. We may visit a variety of locations such as Adelaide's Central Markets and features unknown local highlights such as hidden tunnels and cheesery and if wine is your thing we will through in an education on wine to boot. Experience some local colour through our china town, off Gouger Street. We explore some of the famous & interesting public buildings around Victoria Square, whilst learning about the heart of Adelaide & what makes it tick.

Best Of The Barossa

En route to the Barossa, get better acquainted with Adelaide on a brief city tour. Take in the sites including the breathtaking Torrens Gorge before arriving in the wine capital of Australia. Stop for tastings at boutique wineries such as Riesling Freak and Charlie Melton, meet local wine identities. Discover local crafts and artisan produce in the German town of Tanunda and sample cheeses in Angaston, stopping at Menglers Hill for sweeping Barossa views. Sit down for lunch among the vines at Vintners or at another favourite local restaurant then let the wine flow at a variety of iconic wineries such as Henschke, Yalumba, Rockford and Maggie Beer Farm shop.


Note : Solo travellers can join an existing tour. If no tour is scheduled, they’ll be waitlisted unless they choose to book a private tour by paying for two spots.


Tours inclusions : Experienced wine tour guide/driver, wine, and tourism information kit, pre and post-tour assistance, wine tastings, refreshments en-route with gourmet lunch provided.

Private Wine Tours - Half Day (ex. Adelaide)

The Ultimate Tour experience with your own private guide and luxury vehicle.
Please look at our "Share tour" itineraries for wine regions as a guide to itineraries. We will phone or email you to work out an exclusive itinerary for you and your guests. Tour duration 4 hours.


Lunch is available for an additional cost and will extend your tour to 6 hours.

Example of Adelaide Hills Half Day Tour.
We travel through the picturesque Adelaide Hills via the scenic Greenhill Road., continue through the Hills into the charming village of Hahndorf where we can do a tasting of the fine Hahndorf Hill Winery and their Chocovino experience, and nearby The Lane and also the outstanding Shaw and Smith Wines.
Others special wineries in the region include Ashton Hills Winery tucked away in Ashton and the small artisanal wineries around Uraidla, all producing some of the finest cool climate wines in Australia. Bird in Hand also offers an amazing range of wine.
Please note that a maximum of three wineries is possible in half day and not all these wineries are open daily, so subject to change. Tour excludes lunch, however if you wish to extend the half day tour and include lunch we would enjoy The Lane, or an alternative visit to Penfolds Magill Estate is also possible.

2. East End Pub Culture – Wander through the Botanic Gardens, the historic East End fruit & produce markets, charming arcades, and the unique pubs of culture in the East end.


3. Market Culture - This tour takes us on an insider's tour through Adelaide's iconic Central Markets and Chinatown just off Gouger Street.


4. West End Art & Culture - This tour focuses more on the contemporary Arts, culture and the famous medical precinct of Adelaide. Each tour departs from separate central locations & tours are completed in a variety of locations depending on groups specific interests. 

This experience is primarily offered over two days: a shared full-day wine tour on one day and a separate 3-hour city walk on another. If you'd prefer to do it all in one day, an abridged version of the tour can be arranged to fit the schedule.
