Cliffs and Caves Kayak Tour

Introduction
Our Cliffs & Caves Tour takes you by kayak to explore the stunning and imposing limestone cliffs of Blackwall Reach. This 500m section of weathered and majestic formations, is one of the Swan River’s special places, will leave you awestruck.
Our highly capable, experienced, local guides will share stories with you, from first Australians to the first European Swan River Colonists as well as some of the areas historical, cultural, geographical and horticultural secrets.
So come join us on this fun, upbeat and wonderfully engaging small group tour and actively connect with nature. We paddle tandem kayaks and cater for a wide range of ages and skill levels, aiming to leave you energised and with a strong sense of accomplishment.

Tour overview
We meet and launch at East Fremantle Yacht Club and paddle slowly upriver through Bicton Bay, hugging the riverbanks. Here we take the time to admire the eclectic mix of houses, houseboats and watercraft all while enjoying the peace and serenity that is found whilst kayaking.
We continue our paddle through the crystal clear waters towards the Blackwall Reach cliffs and spend time taking in the natural beauty the limestone caves, crevices and water bird nesting sites in the Swan River’s deepest location.
Our paddle includes several ‘raft ups’ where we get together ‘mid-stream’ for a chat and a story. A short paddle then sees us disembarking back at our start point and finishes at the ‘members only’ East Fremantle Yacht Club to enjoy the very scenic setting over a well-earned coffee, tea or soft drink.
Paddle duration & rating:
The Cliffs & Caves Kayak Tour is a slow paddle for approx. 45min up river to the Blackwall Reach cliffs. Whilst there is boat traffic in this area, the river here is quite wide and we hug the opposite shoreline to the traffic. The area we paddle in is tidal and subject to wind, depending on the day/season. Some people will experience short durations of elevated heart rate depending on
the wind. The paddle back is approx. 30 minutes.
This tour is rated EASY to MEDIUM.

Explore Canning River Wetlands Kayak Tour

Introduction
Let us take you outdoors and off the beaten track on a kayak journey of discovery through the very heart of Perth in an area that few people get to explore. This unique wetlands area in such close proximity to Perth’s CBD can only be truly appreciated when accessed by kayak.
Come on this fun, upbeat and wonderfully engaging tour and let our passionate and experienced guides share some of the areas historical, cultural, geographical and horticultural secrets with you.
Our small group guided tours are all about actively connecting you with nature rather than strenuous exercise and so cater for a wide range of ages and skill levels.
We aim to leave you energised and with a strong sense of accomplishment.

Tour overview
We meet and launch near the Canning River Bridge in Riverton and paddle slowly into the wetlands area. Here we take the time to enjoy the birdlife that live, hunt and breed in this unique regional park and learn a little of the first Australians who lived in the area as well as the first European explorers that settled the Swan River Colony.
We continue our paddle and explore the alluvial islands and estuarine vegetation of the Canning River Regional Park before arriving at Kent Street Weir. After a ~40 minute well earned break we jump in our kayaks and head back to our start point via a slightly different route but again taking time to absorb the areas beauty.
