The Dolphin Discovery Centre’s Dolphin Eco-Cruise is for 90 minutes within Koombana Bay and the local waterways - the home to over 100 bottlenose dolphins. We guarantee you to see dolphins or you go again for free. Up to 3 departures daily (please check calendar below for availability on your desired date). Our tailor-made vessel provides a 300 degree viewing platform designed to get you as close as possible to the dolphins without getting your feet wet. The protected bay offers the perfect opportunity to observe dolphins and wildlife. The team will introduce you to our local Bottlenose Dolphins as they interact in their natural environment. Many of the Dolphins seen on the cruise call Koombana Bay their home. They can be seen frolicking, playing, sleeping, travelling, fighting, and feeding during the cruise. The informative commentary from the skipper of the boat will also keep you updated throughout the cruise. Our Tour is Advanced Eco-Tourism Certified and operates under a special license of Parks and Wildlife Service WA (DBCA).

During the cooler months (May - September) our Boat leaves from an alternative beach approx. 5mins drive away with free parking, our friendly staff will give you direction and instructions for your departure.

Join us for an intimate swim with the wild bottlenose dolphins in their natural environment. This tour is our most popular and exhilarating experience. Accompanied by our experienced tour guide and trained volunteers you will venture into the protected waters of Koombana Bay, the home of over 100 dolphins.
Depending on dolphin sightings you will be guided into the water where the dolphins may elect to initiate interaction with the swimmers.
We guarantee you to see wild dolphins in the water otherwise you can go again for free (subject to availability). As they are wild animals we cannot predict the level of interaction you may encounter as this is entirely up to the dolphins. Every tour is also a research and conservation trip as our staff and volunteers document animal populations, behaviour and much more that you can participate

All equipment (warm wetsuits, mask & snorkel, water, snack) is provided. Storage facilities, changing rooms and hot showers are also available at the
Centre. Our Tour runs daily from November - April and starts at 7:45am. Check in at the Centre from 7:30am.
This is a relaxed dolphin swim tour and we provide you with a thick wetsuit delivering fabulous buoyancy so you can float and stay warm however we expect you to be a confident swimmer.
What is included:
3-4 hour guided swim tour with our experienced guide and volunteers to assist. Wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins. Buoyancy vest and floating devices, if required. Cold drink and snack on board. You may see examples of playing, feeding, socialising, jumping, mating, and sleeping. Feel the buzz of the dolphins’ echolocation checking you out! Our Guides wear Electronic Shark Shields during the tour as a precautionary measurement, although we never encountered a shark on any of our swim tours in over 20 years it is just something we do to safeguard our guests and crew. Shark Shields work
with electricity and therefore we ask any participating guest who is pregnant
or wears a pacemaker to consult your physician prior to the swim tour due to
the electronic pulses emitted from the device.
