Surf & Sun are a licensed surf school with Surfing Australia and have won numerous tourism awards for Best Adventure Tourism South Australia.
Surf & Sun's lessons are 2 hours duration, they include all the equipment such as safe soft surf boards, full length wetsuits, rash top and suncream.
Lessons are held at the end of Chapman Road, Middleton in the first carpark. You can also register at our surf shop - Surf & Sun at 44 Victor Harbor Goolwa Rd, Middleton SA 5213. We are right next to the Middleton bakery. In winter from May to October please meet straight at the beach as the shop is not always open.
All instructors hold level 1 surf coach certificate plus surf rescue, working with children certificate and first aid.
For the safety and best experience of all, we request that children 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult that is not participating in the lesson. We will provide a wetsuit for the parent free of charge.


Minimum numbers apply. If your group lesson has less than 3 people you may need reschedule or upgrade to a private lesson.

Surf & Sun are partnering with Spectrum Portal /Yoga Retreat on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
Think energising yoga sessions, exciting surf lessons, relaxing massage.
Arriving on the Fleurieu Peninsula on the Friday evening at the exclusively booked Port Elliot Beach House to check into your accommodation, you will be greeted by Althea from Spectrum Portal Yoga, before staring your weekend with a yoga session followed by a delicious evening meal. After dinner you will have time to relax for the evening and get to know the other participants.
Saturday will consist of a pre breakfast yoga session, then after breakfast you will head off to hit the waves at Middleton Beach! After lunch you can partake in the art program and/or have some time to look around the shops and beach of Pt Elliot. Evening will consist of dinner and some downtime to relax and enjoy the local surroundings
Sunday will once again start with an early morning yoga session, breakfast and check out of accomodation and head off for your next surfing lesson, pre-packed lunch, and a closing circle wrap up of the weekend.

Surf/Yoga Weekend includes: 3 Yoga sessions (bring your own Yoga mats) 2 Surf lessons with coach and all equipment included Meals including dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2, breakfast and lunch on day 3. Accommodation at Port Elliot Beach House - room options vary and we will cater as best we can for individual preferences based on order of bookings Minimum - Maximum 40 participants
