The Gap + Natural Wonders
Get closer to the edge!
✔️W ander in the Wild
Walk in bushland abundant in wildflowers. ✔️Rugged coastline
Impressive slabs of granite rise from the water's edge on this rugged coastline. At The Gap, feel the power of the wind and water from the masterfully crafted, and accessible walkway lookout over The Gap. See the pounding waves as they thrash the granite walls and surge through the spaces. Feel the exhilarating force in your body; taste the salt spray on your lips, breathe in the invigorating fresh air! ✔️Spectacular views
Take in the 360 degree views from the summit of Stoney Hill. Look across to the vibrant City of Albany. The granite formations of the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges are visible in the distance. ✔️Maritime history
Early explorers encountered the treacherous granite cliff-faces before rounding the peninsula to discover the sheltered waters of Princess Royal Harbour. ✔️Morning refreshment overlooking the beach
Relax and breath in the fresh air while enjoying some morning refreshment.
This is a sightseeing must on your tour to the Great Southern region and Albany.
What one guest had to say of this 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience.
'Wonderful day full of great views! Picked up directly from Albany Visitor Centre and stopped at several spots for photo opportunities. Went to Stoney Hill and climbed to the top of a massive rock for 360 degree views - we had on hiking shoes and Teva walking sandals so had no difficulty. The Gap was awesome and would love to see it on a stormy day! Also stopped for a delicious tea & scone and to check out the gift shop. Our last stop was the wind turbines - again we had a great guide who was able to share some great insights. If you want to see a bit of the local area in a small group setting with great photo opportunities, this is a great choice- so much more enjoyable than doing it on your own. Steve Jun 2025
